“Sometimes ,” said Pooh, “the smallest things take up the most space in your heart.”

Little things often have the biggest impact on our experiences. Read on to discover three little travel accessories that will make travel better and all are under $10!

A couple of weeks ago, I was in LA and feeling really down. I was tired, frustrated with my job, and feeling unattractive. While meeting my co-workers for breakfast, a gentleman at the next table asked me how I was doing. After we exchanged some pleasantries he said to me “Ma’am you have a beautiful smile.” Well, my smile got even bigger as I thanked him for the compliment. Such a small thing, but it was huge in turning my attitude upside down.

I’m a big believer in appreciating the little things in life. Here are three little items that make my travels easier. For under $10.00 (actually $8.00!) you get multiple items making them a bargain to boot! I can’t promise they will make you feel as good as a compliment from a stranger will, but I’m pretty sure they will make your travels a little easier too.

Luggage Handle Wrap

I almost always carry on my luggage but often fly smaller jets that force me to valet check my bag. This bright pink luggage handle wrap stands out like a beacon in the sea of black bags on the jet bridge. Meaning I get my bag, and where I’m going, more quickly. If pink isn’t your thing, it’s available in other colors.

Clear Quart Size Bag

TSA’s quart size bag policy is something every traveler has to deal with. Traveling as often as I do I found that I was going through plastic bags pretty quickly. But as I’ve become more aware of the overwhelming amount of plastic I use, I’m looking for ways to reduce my single-use plastic consumption. I reused disposable bags as much as possible but decided to find a better long-term solution.

Enter this clear quart-size plastic bag. It meets TSA regulations, is super sturdy, stands up on its own, and it easily holds my liquids with room to spare.

Soap Holder

My desire to waste less also led me to travel with my own soap. I hated using hotel soaps once or twice and then tossing them. I also am a bit of a delicate flower and find some soap is too harsh for my skin. Now, I buy my favorite soap, cut it half and then toss it in this little soap holder . I love that it snaps closed and doesn’t take up much room in my toiletry bag. Again, if pink isn’t your jam, it’s available in other colors.
