As a person that travels a lot for business and personal travel, I try a LOT of travel gadgets. And these are 25 of my favorite travel accessories. The ones that are almost always in my suitcase. The travel items I give as gifts and am constantly recommending.

Best Packing Accessories

1) Away Everywhere Bag

Arden Cove Everywhere Bag is a great travel bag. Full review.

I use the Away Everywhere Bag as my laptop bag and love it! I’ve used it for over a year now and purchased a second one for my daughter. It’s a great carry-on option as well. Check out my full Away review!

2) Arden Cove Crossbody Purse

Arden Cove bag review.

Looking for one of the best travel accessories for women? Meet my favorite purse for travel. I love is my Arden Cove Bag and it goes on all of my big trips. Arden Cove makes a complete line of bags and wallets with anti-theft features like RFID protection and slash-proof materials and straps. All that and it’s cute!

3) Eagle Creek Compression Cubes

You probably know that packing cubes are on the top of most travelers’ list of favorite travel gear. But I prefer compression bags because they give you all the benefits of packing cubes (organization, saves space, etc.). But they take up even less space! These from Eagle Creek are my personal favorite because they are basically indestructible.

4) eBags Pack-it-Flat Hanging Toiletry Bag

There are a million different toiletry kits out there. After trying a bunch of different bags, this one from eBags is my favorite. Why? Because it packs flat in my suitcase leaving room for more stuff. It also holds a ton of my toiletries in an organized way. The ability to hang it up is just a bonus.

5) TSA-Approved Clear Toiletry Bags

This set of 2 clear, TSA-approved, quart-size clear bags is one of the best travel accessories I use on every trip. I’ve also given them as gifts and included them in a recent giveaway I did on Instagram. (Come join the fun and follow me on Instagram!)

My favorite thing about these bags is they are reusable which means not using disposable plastic bags. They hold more than the plastic baggie in your kitchen will and it stands up on the bathroom counter.

6) Plastic Soap Container

Another eco-friendly, affordable, and practical item for your suitcase is this set of plastic soap containers. I travel with my own soap because I have sensitive skin and because it’s less wasteful and I am all about reducing waste when I travel these days. You’ll get two soap containers for under $10!

7) Luggage Handle Wrap

This handy little travel gadget fits over your luggage handle making it super-easy to find your bag in a sea of suitcases.

My Favorite Clothing for Travel

8) Yoga Pants/Leggings

I’ve previously shared some of my favorite clothing for travel, including the Skyline Pants from Athleta. But I’ve recently discovered these super affordable and comfortable leggings. They fit great, feel great, are available in a bunch of cute colors, and they are under $25. A fraction of what similar leggings cost! What’s not to love?

9) Jumpsuit

When you travel for work, there is a lot of empty time spent in hotel rooms. Recently I was jet-lagged and semi-awake way too early and fell for the Facebook ad that kept showing up in my feed advertising this Amazon jumpsuit that flight attendants were in love with.

I immediately regretted my impulsive purchase thinking it would not fit or be flattering on me. But I was wrong. I love this jumpsuit and can’t wait to wear it when the weather gets warmer. It’s so versatile and comfortable that I know it’s going to be making it into my suitcase all the time.

10) Sun Hat

I’m basically a vampire and can’t stand to have the sun in my eyes. This fun little fedora is my favorite way to block the sun. I pack it on all of my personal trips because of its versatility. It’s great on the beach and sightseeing. I always feel a little more polished and cooler when I wear it!

It has a ton of positive reviews on Amazon, has UPF protection, comes in a slew of different colors and styles, and it packs beautifully. I seriously fold it flat to pack and it holds its shape. Making it a must-have travel accessory.

Must-Have Beauty & Wellness for Travel

11) Jet Lag Prevention

Jet lag is the worse! While there are things you can do to minimize jet lag symptoms, a little help isn’t going to hurt. I’ve used these jet lag prevention pills for a couple of long-haul flights (including some redeye flights) and they do help you feel a little more refreshed when arriving. They work well enough that I’ve recommended them to others traveling across time zones.

12) ChlorOxygen Chlorophyll for Altitude

Have you ever traveled to a high altitude location? Do you experience issues adjusting to the higher altitude? If so, get yourself a bottle of chlorophyll pills. They are great are reducing the effects of high altitude (headache, lightheadedness). I use these every time work takes me to Denver and my family used them in the uber-high altitude of Quito, Ecuador and they work like a charm!

13) Reusable Cotton Rounds

Another eco-friendly travel product, I use these reusable makeup remover pads while traveling and at home. The set comes with both a storage and laundry bag. One of the things I love most about these cotton rounds is that they get softer the more you wash them.

14) Mini Glass Vials

I’m a high-maintenance gal which means I use a lot of beauty products. Including many skincare serums and oils. And because I rarely check a bag, I decant a lot of my products so that I’m packing small and can fit everything into my TSA bag for liquids. Like to travel with essential Oils? These little jewels are also great for decanting your favorite oils into.

I recently purchased this set of mini glass vials and I love them! The different colors are pretty and make it easy to find a specific product. I just use the dropper from my original product to decant into the vial. But the set comes with a plastic dropper that you can use as well.

15) 2 in 1 Mini Travel Flat Iron/Curling Iron

If you like to pack small and light, this beauty gadget is perfect for your suitcase. It is both a curling iron and a flat iron and takes up hardly any space. I have curly, frizzy, thick hair and this works well enough for me to toss a couple of curls into my hair or straighten pieces that have gone awry.

16) Dietary Supplement

One of the best parts of traveling is trying new foods. But sometimes our digestive system doesn’t react to new foods as well as we would like. That’s where this natural dietary supplement is a godsend. It uses colostrum to protect your digestive tract and prevent diarrhea before eating anything that might be questionable. Tummy already rumbling? This works to help minimize the symptoms. I used it on a recent trip to Mexico and it worked exactly as advertised.

17) Magnesium Oil

I am always singing the praises of magnesium oil to help get better quality sleep! I use it every night whether I’m at home or on the road. If I happen to forget, I find myself tossing and turning throughout the night. It’s one of my must-have products.

After trying several brands, this one from Asutra is my favorite.

Best Travel Accessories for Your Carry-On

18) Travel Passport/Wallet

I was surprised at how much I liked this travel wallet! For under $15, it protects your travel documents and credit cards using RFID blocking materials. It has an array of compartments to keep every organized and a pen holder (always bring a pen when traveling internationally). Practical and beautiful, it comes in 36 colors. It’s one of the best travel accessories for women!

While you’re picking one up for yourself, grab a second one as this is a perfect gift for travelers!

19) trtl Travel Pillow

So sleeping on a plane basically sucks. But sometimes you gotta do it and the trtl pillow is the best travel pillow I have found. Weighing in at only a pound, it’s small size means you can easily stash it in your carry on bag or attach it to a handle on your luggage. I find it to be very supportive and much better for sleeping upright than traditional neck pillows.

20) Compression Socks

Compression socks aren’t the sexiest of topics, but they are a travel necessity. Especially for any long-haul flights. I find wearing compression socks on flights not only prevents my feet from swelling but helps my feet and legs not feel tired. But more importantly, compression socks help prevent deep vein thrombosis, or blood clots, on flights.

21) Travelon Bags

If you only buy one item from this list, make it this one! It is one of the best travel accessories!

This set of 3 pouches is hands down, my number one, all-time favorite travel gear! I love them so much and think you will too. They are lightweight, super durable, and hold a ton of stuff. I use all three in my laptop bag; one for snacks, another for my in-flight essentials, and the third for electronic stuff.

22) Adaptor

I have a similar adapter that is no longer available but this one has even more bells and whistles! I love this travel adapter because it has five different electrical plugs (US, EU, UK, and AU) and 4 USB ports. Many hotel rooms or vacation rentals don’t have many electrical outlets making the USB ports super handy. Its small size means it doesn’t take up much space. I also like having it in a bright color which means I’m less likely to miss it when packing.

23) Foldable Duffel Bag

This foldable duffel bag could be used for your personal item. I purchased it recently to have an extra bag to throw into my suitcase. It was perfect for a recent weekend at the beach. I love that it folds up to a tiny square and weighs nothing. It unfolds to a 20-inch bag that fits under an airplane seat. One of my favorite features is the strap that allows you to slide it over your suitcase handle. Need more? It’s under $20, is waterproof and comes in a rainbow of colors!

24) Foldable Backpack

Prefer a backpack? This foldable backpack has the same cool features as the duffel bag above and is one of the best travel accessories for men. I purchased this for my daughter and she has already used it several times. I wished I had it when we recently did a tour of Tulum in Mexico to throw in sunscreen, water, hats, etc. Once you start traveling with a foldable bag you’ll wonder how you lived without it!

25) Noise-Cancelling Headphones

I am very sensitive to noise which means that noise-canceling headphones are a travel must-have. My husband and I both have this pair and they work very well. Not only do they block out background noise making it easier to hear that movie you’re watching, but the incredibly long battery life means you’ll be free from unwanted noise for the entire flight.
